Deadwood casinos in South Dakota generated $11.1 million in January, a 4.3% year-over-year increase.
According to the latest numbers from the South Dakota Department of Revenue, which reports revenue by game type, table games rose 4.6% year-over-year to $1.3 million, and slots rose 5% to $9.8 million. Sports betting revenue declined 66.2%, from $108,976 to $36,853.
Blackjack was the highest revenue generator for table games in January, with revenue rising 23.5% to $615,406. Player-banked poker was the only other table game to see revenue rise, increasing 47.2% to $101,807.
The remaining table game types saw revenue decline, with roulette down 31.8%, craps down 27.6%, and house-banked poker down 7.6%.
The highest revenue generator for slots was 1-cent slots, which generated $8.4 million, up 8.4%. Five-cent slots saw the largest revenue increase, rising 130.6% to $51,096.
Five-dollar slots and $25 slots were the only other slot types to see revenue rise, up 22.6% and 0.9% respectively.
The biggest year-over-year declines were reported in 50-cent slots, down 59.8% to $18,552; 25-cent slots, down 21.3% to $168,044, and $1 dollar slots, down 17.4% to $512,885.
