After selling out this year’s SBC Summit Rio in Brazil, next year’s event will move to a new venue.
SBC on Thursday announced that SBC Summit Rio 2025, slated for Feb. 25-27, 2025, will be held at Riocentro, an event space with a capacity of 10,000 that’s capable of hosting 400 exhibitors and sponsors.
“Even during the planning stage of the 2024 edition, we knew that this event held promise for further expansion,” said SBC CEO Rasmus Sojmark in a statement. “The rapid sell-out of our first event had made it clear that we needed to accommodate this increased demand. In 2025, with plans for over 10,000 attendees and 400 exhibitors and sponsors, we want to provide the ultimate platform for all things igaming and sports betting in Brazil. This development is incredibly exciting for both SBC and the industry, which has supported us in this decision in more ways than we could hope for.”
SBC plans to organize the Riocentro show floor into dedicated areas for the casino, igaming and sports betting, and payments and fintech professionals. The company will introduce the Affiliate Leaders’ Summit, directed to the thousands of affiliates and marketing delegates expected to attend.
SBC Summit Rio 2025 also will feature 250 industry experts from Brazil and around the world who will analyze trends and discuss initiatives to advance the industry and shape of Brazil’s gambling landscape. Discussions will focus on regulatory frameworks, localization intricacies, sports integrity, emerging sponsorship prospects, and evolving dynamics among operators, affiliates, regulators, media, service providers, and other stakeholders.
Riocentro features over 40,000 square meters of space including two pavilions, an amphitheater, outdoor food courts and networking spaces, The four-star Lagune Barra Hotel is onsite, and there are several hotels within four kilometers of Riocentro that offer complimentary shuttle services to the venue.
