When the Global Gaming Expo show floor opens Tuesday, attendees will find it to be the nexus of the show’s energy even moreso than in prior years.
While the floor will still feature the latest and greatest new developments in games, equipment and casino systems, it will also play host to the conference’s keynote speakers and panels, in an attempt to create more interplay and fluidity between the educational sessions and the exhibitor displays.
Keynote speakers for this year’s show include NBA Hall of Famer Earvin “Magic” Johnson, Dave and Buster’s CEO Stephen King, neuroscience expect Dee O’Neil, and motivational speaker Roberta Perry, as well as a panel of gaming industry executives.
The floor will also host other educational programming venues that are intended to create a more seamless show experience. The brand new Integrated Resort of the Future forum, located at booth #5829 in the Integrated Resort Experience section, will feature a series of 30 minute TED talk-type presentations, touching on subjects like marketing, entertainment, hospitality and food and beverage.
Tuesday’s presentations will touch on the impacts of technology and how it can be leveraged to improve the customer experience, Wednesday’s sessions will discuss next-generation service, and emerging forms of entertainment like e-Sports and sports betting will be discussed on Thursday.
The second iteration of the Innovation Lab, sponsored by the American Gaming Association, will offer attendees yet another educational opportunity spiced into the their show floor perusing.
Rolled out as an experiment last year that featured 15 minute discussions on innovative new ideas of interest to the industry, the second edition will showcase topics like green infrastructure, the role of music in the casino ambiance, and the impacts of big data and cloud computing on the industry.
