Scientific Games is extending its relationship with the Washington D.C Lottery than began in 1982.
The Las Vegas-based company said Thursday it was awarded a new contract to provide instant Scratchers games to the Office of Lottery and Gaming, which oversees the DC Lottery in the District of Columbia.
The one-year contract may be extended by the Lottery for up to four years

In fiscal year 2019, the DC Lottery’s Scratchers retail sales totaled $51.9 million, according to La Fleur’s 2020 Lottery Almanac. Scientific Games produced several of the DC Lottery’s best performing Scratchers in 2019.
“There is a significant opportunity for growth in our instant portfolio,” said DC Lottery Executive Director Beth Bresnahan. “We are pleased to continue our longtime, successful relationship with Scientific Games through this new contract which will help the DC Lottery to continue our mission of maximizing revenue returned to the General Fund to support the District’s vital public programs and essential services.”
