SBC Summit North America returns next week with panels, exhibits, networking events

Educational and instructional sessions focused on sports betting and igaming will be featured at next week’s SBC Summit North America. Taking place July 12-14 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in New Jersey, the three-day event will feature presentations and discussions by some of the most prominent names in the gaming industry.

“SBC always delivers an all-inclusive experience and strives to educate the delegates on everything they need to know about our industry to remain competitive,” said SBC Founder and CEO Rasmus Sojmark in a statement. “This year’s SBC Summit North America is the place to be if you want to connect with top industry brands and learn from the best of the best.”

Attendance at last year’s event, delayed until December due to concerns about COVID-19 restrictions, reached about 2,000. Earlier this year SBC Vice President of Marketing North America Cristian Robalino told CDC Gaming Reports he expects attendance to grow by 50% to 3,000.

This year again will feature the Player Protection Symposium, a half-day event dedicated to responsible gambling and consumer protection on July 12. Scheduled speakers for the symposium include ex-New York Giants wide receiver Amani Toomer, former NBA basketball player Charles Oakley, and former NBA player and LivON Basketball Founder Randy Livingston.

Also on July 12 is  iGaming and Sports Betting 101, a half-day conference that will present the fundamentals of the sports betting and igaming industry.

SBC North America has recruited a roster of gaming industry senior executives for the event. Slated to appear are BetMGM’s Matt Prevost (CRO) and Matt Sunderland (VP of Gaming); Marina Bogard, Managing Director, North America, Betsson Group; Betfred USA Sports COO Bryan Bennett; Sharon Otterman, CMO, Caesars Sports and Online Gaming; CEO Scott Vanderwel and VP of Legal, Compliance & People Chantal Cipriano from PointsBet Canada; PointsBet USA CMO Kyle Christensen; Noam Klivitzky, VP US Marketing, 888 Holdings; Bally’s Corporation COO North America Interactive Adi Dhandhania; and DraftKings Director, Sportsbook Product Lexi Janson.

From the industry supply side, scheduled guests include Quincy Raven, US Managing Director, Aspire Global; Bragg Gaming Group Chief Commercial Officer Chris Looney; Delasport CEO Oren Cohen Shwartz; Simon Lidzén, CEO & Co-founder, Fast Track; Todd Cravens, President & CEO, Galaxy Gaming; Playtech CCO Marcus Yoder; and Craig McDonald, Chief Business Officer, Trustly.

They will be joined by speakers including Jesper Søgaard, CEO & Co-founder, Better Collective; Catena Media CEO Michael Daly; Max Bichsel, gambling.com VP; and Clever Advertising Group COO Marcos Oliveira.

SBC Summit North America again will feature an exhibition marketplace, featuring the latest releases from gaming studios and innovations from payments and compliance specialists.

Featured networking events include the “Tribal Gaming Networking Brunch,” “African Americans in Gaming Networking Event,” and the “Global Gaming Women Networking Breakfast.”

Other networking events include pre-registration drinks at the Bar Moxy and Manhattan’s Magic Hour Rooftop; a networking party and Sports Betting Hall of Fame at Meadowlands Racing; and a closing networking party at the Lighthouse at Pier Sixty.

The SBC Awards North America will attract an expected 600 guests celebrating the achievements of operators, affiliates, and suppliers from all the major disciplines. The event takes place on July 14 and requires a separate ticket.
