SBC Summit North America’s swansong to New York/New Jersey was, by any measure, a success. The fifth iteration of the conference, which will move to Florida next year and be held concurrently with SBC Summit Latinoamérica, drew nearly 5,000 attendees, up from 3,500 in 2023.
“We had nearly 5,000 of you join us this year, a substantial increase from the 3,500 delegates we gathered at the Meadowlands last year,” said SBC CEO and Founder Rasmus Sojmark in a statement. “I am always happy to feel your support, and it seems that every year, more and more of you realize how much work the entire SBC team puts into the event. Thank you for making this edition special. It was a blast.”
The SBC Summit featured approximately 300 industry leaders speaking from four stages at the Meadowland Expo Center in Secaucus, New Jersey. Notable were appearances by Hall of Fame football star Dan Marino, an interview with BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt by CNBC Correspondent Contessa Brewer, and appearances by American Gaming Hall of Fame member Jan Jones Blackhurst and Nevada Congresswoman Dina Titus. Also appearing were National Council of Legislators from Gaming States President Shawn Fluharty, and a sports betting panel featuring Betsson Managing Director Marina Bogard, Betr CEO Joey Levy, IGT President of Sports Betting Joe Asher, Rush Street Interactive CEO Richard Schwartz, and Caesars Co-president of Sports and Online Gaming Eric Hession.
“Being here and having the opportunity to listen to panelists and learn how they’ve addressed specific issues and pain points, it’s been really helpful,” said Tennessee Sports Wagering Council Deputy Director and General Counsel Stephanie Maxwell.
According to a SBC release, a post-event survey for exhibitors and sponsors revealed a strong NPS score, “reaffirming SBC’s dedication to providing unique experiences and value to the customers. With 100 brands showcasing as exhibitors and sponsors, there was a notably diverse representation of companies.”
“The event has definitely evolved,” said Gator Wagers Founder Brett Hoffman. “There are way more people here. A lot more people, new entries, and new faces, and it’s exciting to see that every year, honestly.”
Next year’s SBC Summit North America is scheduled for May 13-15, 2025, at the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
