SBC Summit North America announces stellar speaker list of industry leaders

Caesars Entertainment’s Jan Jones Blackhurst, Bally’s Corporation Charmain of the Board of Directors Soo Kim, and Bill Miller, president and CEO of the American Gaming Association were Wednesday announced as keynote speakers at SBC Summit North America.

The summit takes place Nov. 30 – Dec. 2 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center, New Jersey

“We’re delighted to mark our return to the U.S. by presenting what is undoubtedly the strongest speaker lineup ever assembled for a sports betting and igaming industry conference in North America with all the major operators participating alongside renowned experts from across the sector,” said SBC Vice President, Growth & Strategy Sue Schneider in a statement.

The conference’s agenda covers key issues shaping the future of the industry, with content focused on technology; regulation; the relationship between betting and professional sports; payments and compliance; online casino gaming; the tribal gaming sector; marketing strategies; and investment. SBC has enlisted more than 200 stakeholders across the industry for its speaking roster.

Sports betting and mobile operators will be represented by speakers including BetMGM Chief Revenue Officer Matt Prevost; DraftKings Chief Business Officer Ezra Kucharz; and Carolyn Renzin, FanDuel’s Chief Risk & Compliance Officer.

Tribal and commercial casinos representatives scheduled to speak include Foxwoods Resort Casino VP, Brand Marketing & Digital Annika Howard; Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment President, Digital Gaming, Rich Roberts; and Erica Kosemund, Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma Senior Director Gaming Brands & Partnerships.

Tech companies will be represented by industry leaders including IGT President of Sports Betting Joe Asher, Evolution Chief Product Officer Todd Haushalter, and Cathryn Lai, CCO of OpenBet.

Representatives from the sporting world slated to speak include MLB Senior Counsel Marquest J. Meeks; Jeff Fernandez, Vice President Business Development + Ventures for the New York Jets; and NASCAR Senior Manager — Sports Betting, Matt Stallknecht.

The day before the main conference on December 1-2, SBC and EPIC Risk Management are hosting the Player Protection Symposium at rapper, record executive and businessman Jay-Zs’ 40/40 Club in Manhattan. Speakers scheduled for the invite-only symposium include NFL Chief Compliance Officer Sabrina Perel; Sightline Payments Senior Vice President Strategic Development & Government Affairs Jonathan Michaels; and Carolene Layugan, Caesars’ Responsible Gaming Program Director.
