SCC Summit North America Friday released a list of conference sessions that will focus on igaming. The event, scheduled for May 7-9 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in New Jersey, will include in-depth discussions on the reinvention of land-based experiences through digital integration; debates on igaming’s supposed cannibalization of land-based operations; and strategies for developing profitable igaming applications.
Panels include:
- “Why Online Casino Legislation Hasn’t Kept Pace With Sports Betting” will explore the lack of regulatory attention igaming has received in North America. Panelists include Rush Street Interactive Director of B2B Services Adam Glass; Elizabeth Suever, Bally’s Vice President, Government Relations; Fanatics Betting & Gaming VP Government Affairs Brandt Iden; and FanDuel Senior Director Head of State Government Relations Cesar Fernandez. Shawn Fluharty President-elect of the National Council of Legislators from Gaming States, will moderate.
- A discussion about the need for land-based operations to emphasize creation of omnichannel experiences will inform “Omnichannel Effectiveness: From Land-Based to Digital and Back.” Moderated by AGS VP Interactive Zoe Ebling, panelists will include Sun Gaming CEO Bobby Soper; Matt Reback, Galaxy Gaming President & CEO; BetMGM Vice President of Gaming – Product & Content Oliver Bartlett; Nick Patrick, Radar Co-Founder and CEO; and Stacey Rowland, Genting Americas Vice President and General Counsel.
- “Blurred Lines: When is a Game of Skill Really a Game of Chance?” will feature a discussion about the subtle differences between games that rely on skill and those that rely on luck. Participants include Fox Rothschild Partner, Co-Chair, Gaming Department C. J. Fisher; Jeff Hakala, Connecticut Consumer Protection Special Investigator; and Rafael DiCarlo, Gaming NA Bancard General Manager; with moderator Matt Para, 10MB LLC Principal Consultant.
- “Game Design 101: Launching a Profitable Product’ will feature a discussion of key strategies for launching a successful iGaming application. Moderator Tony Plaskow, Pixiu Gaming Commercial Director will host Caesars Entertainment VP of Online Gaming Ricardo Cornejo; Betr Head of Gaming Alex Ursa; Doug Fallon, Bragg Gaming Group Director of Content; and Fanatics Game Studios Betting and Gaming VP Rich Criado.
Attendees will be able to learn more about the igaming landscape in North America through conference tracks covering leadership, sports betting, affiliates & marketing, industry & growth, compliance & regulation, and payments & tech.
The conference also will include a dedicated Tribal symposium, and two pre-day conferences; the Capital Market Forum and the Player Protection Symposium.
