SBC Summit Latinoamérica announced Wednesday that its recent conference at the Seminole Hard Rock & Casino in Florida experienced a 33% rise in attendance.
This year’s event was also a prelude to SBC Summit Americas, scheduled for May 13-15, 2025 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The event will combine SBC Summit Latinoamérica with its U.S.-focused counterpart.
“It’s been rewarding to see the summit foster not only strong business opportunities but also genuine, lasting connections among industry professionals,” said SBC CEO and Founder Rasmus Sojmark in a statement. “As we look forward to launching SBC Summit Americas in 2025, we’re excited to expand this spirit of collaboration across North, Central, and South America—creating a unified hub for innovation and progress in the sports betting and igaming sectors.”
According to a release, SBC Summit Latinoamérica has been “essential in fostering meaningful connections and empowering industry-wide collaboration for the past four years.” Attendees stated that the event has become a mainstay on their calendars.
Betsson Commercial Director for LATAM Andrea Rossi called SBC Summit Latinoamerica “mandatory” for those seeking to stay informed on the latest trends and regional developments.
“(It’s) the most important event for Latin America,” said Betsul CEO Fernando Garita.
ProntoPaga was among the conference’s 70 exhibitors.
“We came with clear goals, and we’ve checked all our boxes this season,” said ProntoPaga Chief Commercial Officer Elisa Jordan. “We’re very pleased with the connections we made and the outcomes from our stand.”
Attendees also noted SBC’s ability to foster both business growth and personal connections.
“The networking is always great, and it saves me a lot of traveling because I can meet all my providers and partners in one place,” said Superbet Brazil CEO Alex Fonseca.
“SBC events create environments where networking is both fun and highly productive,” said Wplay.co Chief Legal & Compliance Officer Iliana Pineda.
With a focus on Latin America, SBC Latinoamerica has served as an important event for the region.
“(It’s) a crucial meeting point for the Latin American industry, for both land-based and online casinos,” said Asociación Chilena de Casinos de Juego Executive President Cecelia Valdés.
The lineup of 200 speakers included soccer’s René Higuita, motorsport driver Tatiana Calderón, Brazilian Senator Irajá Abreu and Yuri Guerra, Peru General Director of the General Directorate of Casino Games and Slot Machines.
“Understanding the perspectives of both market operators and regulators is crucial for navigating Latin America’s dynamic regulatory landscape; the panels provided invaluable insights,” Rossi said.
Reaction to combining SBC Summit Latinoamerica with SBC Summit North America has been favorable. Betsul’s Garita calls it “a big opportunity across all of the Americas,” and Pineda of Wplay.co said it was an opportunity to integrate “different markets and roles under one roof.”
