Last week’s SBC Summit Latinoamérica recorded a 150% increase in attendance, according to organizers. The event, held Oct. 31-Nov. 2 in Hollywood, Florida, drew 2,500 attendees for sessions and events focused on Latin American gaming.

“SBC Summit Latinoamérica 2023 was exceptional,” said SBC Founder and CEO Rasmus Sojmark in a statement. “The growth we’ve witnessed over the past three years for this event is remarkable, and it’s inspiring to see it evolve alongside such a promising and dynamic region. The post-event survey indicated that the vast majority of attendees are already inclined to return in 2024.”

SBS Summit Latinoamerica was attended by stakeholders from 234 regional and global operators, as well as affiliates, suppliers, game developers, media, sports teams, and 11 regulatory bodies. There also were more than 100 exhibitors and sponsors from global and regional brands, a 75% increase from the previous year’s conference.

More than 150 gaming industry experts spoke at 48 panels, with almost half the speakers from C-Level positions or higher. Executives who appeared include Gonzalo Perez, CEO of Apuesta Total; Betcris CEO J. D, Duarte; EstrelaBet Chief Business Officer Fellipe Fraga; Zeno Ossko, CEO, BetWarrior; Ida Lopez, IPJyC de Mendoza President; and Andre Gelfi, President of the Instituto Brasileiro de Jogo Responsável.

Regulators from Latin America countries undergoing transitional phases were also in attendance.

“SBC Latinoamérica has once again proved to be an excellent event for updates on the reality of our sector in this great set of emerging markets,” said Grupo Retabet CEO Xabier Maribona. “It was very interesting to have new regulatory details about countries like Chile, Ecuador, Brazil, and Peru and participate in debates about already consolidated countries like Colombia and Mexico. It is very productive to be able to see, hear, and talk with so many relevant people in the sector.”

Next year’s SBC Summit Latinoamérica is scheduled for November 5-7 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Miami.
