The event is part of a company-wide event by Rush Street Gaming locations in Philadelphia, Des Plaines, Illinois, Schenectady, New York, and Portsmouth Virginia, to give back to local communities. More than 6,000 employees are expected to participate.

“Rivers Casino is committed to the health, well-being and economic vitality of the communities in which we operate and to those who have served our country,” said Rivers Casino and Rush Street Gaming CEO Tim Drehkoff in a statement. “By concentrating our efforts around these key areas, we expect to heighten our impact while continuing other community engagement initiatives throughout the year.”

In Pittsburgh, Rivers Casino will collaborate with the Mario Lemieux Foundation and visit Austin’s Playrooms, an initiative that provides children with playful and engaging environments while families concentrate on health and recovery. Rivers Casino employees will deliver toys and supplies to the 43 Austin’s Playrooms in Western Pennsylvania.

Team Members on-site at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh also will participate in activities including hosting Glimmer of Hope, which provides information about breast cancer screenings; a blood drive hosted by Vitalant; and free biometric screenings courtesy of Allegheny Health Network.
