Eric Rose, a veteran Regional Vice President and General Manager for Century Casinos, will take over the Nugget Casino Resort in Sparks, Nevada, as Senior Vice President and General Manager.

Rose has 32 years of experience in the gaming and hospitality industries and has been Vice President of Operations in Colorado and General Manager of Century Casino Cripple Creek, Colorado. He began his career in Stateline, Nevada, and played a role in Century’s acquisition of three properties from Caesars Entertainment in 2019.

“We encountered a challenging first half of the year at the Nugget with lower-than-expected revenue,” Erwin Haitzmann and Peter Hoetzinger, Co-Chief Executive Officers of Century Casinos, said in a press release. “The Nugget has undergone right-sizing and cost-cutting initiatives. The property has also been further upgraded with investments in more than 120 new slot machines, a high-limit room, refreshes of two restaurants, a repaint of the exterior, exterior, and interior signage, and display packages. With the appointment of Eric Rose to the top leadership role, we are finalizing the transition, setting the Nugget up for future success.”

Nugget Casino Resort has a 71,200-square-foot casino floor with 929 slot machines and 25 table games, and the resort has two hotel towers, 114,500 square feet of convention space, and an 8,555-seat outdoor amphitheater.
