The Rampart Casino in Summerlin in the west Las Vegas valley is undergoing a rebranding that will be effective on Jan. 1, as it wraps up the $75 million renovation in the first quarter of 2026.

The property will be renamed The Resort at Summerlin. It comes ahead of a Caesars Sportsbook operating on site after the Super Bowl.

The Rampart Casino is part of the JW Marriott Las Vegas Marriott Resort & Spa owned by Hotspur Resorts. It has 548 hotel rooms and 13 restaurants; the casino spans 50,000 square feet and includes 1,600 slot machines, a 300-seat bingo room, and 32 table games with blackjack, craps, roulette, and pai gow poker.

“Sometimes people get confused with us being both Rampart Casino and the JW Marriott Las Vegas, but internally we’ve operated as one property for the past 14 years,” said Michelle McHugh, vice president and general manager. “We will have a pretty good rebrand launch as part of that coming in the next couple of weeks.”

McHugh said it’s been a great 18-month run for the property with the investment of $75 million.

“We renovated all of our hotel rooms and conference space and added a brand-new high-limit room,” McHugh said. “We’ve opened or renovated six food and beverage outlets, including a brand new food hall with an oyster bar, pizza, and Italian restaurant anchored by a celebrity chef. We opened a wine bar. It’s been an exciting year at the property.”

The hotel’s new design blends the property’s existing Spanish Colonial architecture with modern elements, offering a fresh contemporary feel, according to McHugh. Featuring grand archways, large open spaces, and abundant natural light, the renovated hotel lobby and conference center design combine complementary earth tones with jewel-tone accents, she noted.

The resort’s renovated guest rooms boast 560 square feet and are equipped with furniture packages that include dining tables, couches, ceiling fans, 65-inch smart TVs, and coffee machines. In addition, 98 of the resort’s 548 guest rooms offer walk-out and Juliette balconies and 11 guestrooms and suites offer walk-out terraces, allowing guests to connect with the resort’s gardens, waterfalls, and koi ponds.

Other recent renovations include a refreshed fitness center, new Hydra Lounge relaxation area, and renovated treatment rooms in the world-class spa. The casino renovation consists of a new lighting package and carpet, fresh paint and wall coverings, and the installation of a new high-limit slot room and bar. The resort’s restaurant collection also underwent a major transformation and includes the Market Place Buffet, Jade Asian Kitchen, an Italian bistro, and the casino’s 24-hour café.

The pool is being renovated and will open in March and two additional dining outlets are under construction and will open in the first quarter.

The property’s sportsbook, scheduled to be taken over after the Super Bowl by Caesars Sportsbook, will also undergo a renovation.

“As part of the exciting investments and upgrades we’ve made across the property, we underwent an extensive process to select the right sports betting partner to bring a best-in-class product and technology, brand, and service to the property,” McHugh said.

Dan Shapiro, senior vice president and chief development officer at Caesars Digital, said they’ve been talking to Rampart executives for a long time, after they put out a request for proposals earlier this year.

“We’ve never had a place to sign up new mobile customers in Summerlin and the Rampart is a great location and great property that has gotten a lot of investments with new restaurants and a new casino floor,” Shapiro said. “We think by combining our brand with theirs is a really great opportunity to elevate the overall experience there.”

Sam Garritano, vice president and assistant general manager, said going to a Caesars Sportsbook expands options for guests. It will mark the farthest west Caesars Sportsbook in the valley after one at Arizona Charlie’s west of the Strip on Decatur Boulevard. “Summerlin is undeserved as far as having Caesars as an option, and we have a high-density population up here,” Garritano said.

McHugh said Caesars has a great technology platform with its offerings in the mobile app that will appeal to customers. They have a great sportsbook now, but the switch will broaden the betting menu and make it even better.

“That was a big part of our decision,” McHugh said. “We want to be a destination sportsbook for the players in Summerlin and our customers that come from out of the market. With the renovations that will be coming (to the sportsbook) with the screens and seating, it will be a very competitive sportsbook and great place to watch the game.”

Existing points earned on race or sports are not impacted by this change. All cash sports and race bets placed in-person will continue to earn Rampart Rewards.

Sports fans will earn Caesars Rewards for all wagering done on the Caesars Sportsbook mobile app and can complete account registration at the new sportsbook once it’s open. Wagering on the Caesars Sportsbook mobile app can also unlock unique rewards at The Resort at Summerlin.
