Playstudios Monday introduced Jason Hahn as its new executive vice president and head of corporate business development. Hahn will work with the Las Vegas-based developer and operator of free-to-play casual games to advance growth strategy.

“Adding Jason to our leadership team allows Playstudios to take advantage of the significant growth opportunities in front of us,” said Playstudios Founder and CEO Andrew Pascal in a statement. “Jason is a sophisticated dealmaker and a curious, strategic thinker with significant experience identifying and executing growth strategies, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial partnerships.”

Hahn has more than 15 years of experience in strategic and financial planning, mergers and acquisitions, and business development with companies including J. P. Morgan Entertainment Industries Group, NBC Universal, and Rothschild Inc. Hahn most recently worked at Activision Blizzard’s esports division, where he helped develop its foundational business model and strategy, oversaw commercial partnerships with tech and esports companies, and managed business operations and analytics.

“With the resources (Playstudios) have available as a public company, I see incredible potential and opportunity to accelerate their growth through new acquisitions and partnerships,” Hahn said in a statement. “I look forward to working with the talented team at Playstudios, the broader game development community, and our new stakeholders as we collectively realize our ambitions.”

Hahn earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business. He also serves on the board and executive committee of CoachArt, a nonprofit organization creating a transformative arts and athletics community for children impacted by chronic illness.
