Yesterday, Play Synergy announced that it was granted manufacturer and gaming licenses by the Nevada Gaming Commission.
An Empire Technological Group company, Play Synergy stated that its proposal to purchase the electronic game machine and online assets of Aruze Gaming America was also approved July 31 by the United States Bankruptcy Court. This transaction is expected to close in September.
Aruze filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy February 4, 2023. Play Synergy announced it was acquiring Aruze’s slot operations, including land-based and online gaming assets, on July 17.
The pending acquisition will provide Play Synergy with ownership of or access to Aruze’s electronic game machine library, lease, and participation machines, business assets including intellectual property, and related sales, service, and marketing operations.
“These two accomplishments propel us to an exciting new level in this competitive space,” said Play Synergy President Frank Feng in a statement. “A Nevada gaming license is a key and indispensable component of any supplier’s ability to establish a leadership position in our industry. The combination of both companies’ teams, platforms, and other resources will ensure that we have the ability to develop and deliver superior content well into the future.”
