PHOENIX (AP) – A Phoenix internet cafe manager has been arrested after an investigation into illegal gambling.

Phoenix police say 28-year-old Bradley John Babinski Jr. is being held on suspicion of illegal control of an enterprise, managing/financing gambling, benefiting from gambling, possession of gambling devices and possession of gambling records.

Police and the Arizona Department of Gaming began investigating Netclix Internet Cafe several weeks ago.

They believed a cafe employee was illegally possessing, promoting and benefiting from unregulated illegal gambling enterprises.

Babinski was arrested after both agencies served a search warrant on the cafe and seized computers.

Court documents state that customers were paying the employee on duty money to purchase Internet time and play casino games and sweepstakes, which paid out money for winnings.
