Parx Casino is joining the cashless-payments trend.

This week the Bensalem, Pennsylvania-based casino announced the implementation of cashless gaming through a partnership with Sightline Payments and Light & Wonder. Sightline’s Play+ funding solution will enable the new Parx Wallet to install cashless play on the casino floor. The Parx Wallet app is connected to Light & Wonder’s casino-management system.

“The Parx Wallet will provide benefits for our customer base, enhancing their safety and security,” said Parx Casino Chief Operating Officer Marc Oppenheimer in a statement. “The ability to play cashless across our more than 3,000 slot machines with the Parx Wallet and Play+ will provide our customers with easy access to their funds both on and off property.”

Patrons will be able to download the Parx Wallet app, powered by Light & Wonder, on smartphones and set up a Parx Play+ account to fund cashless gaming through Parx’s X-Club loyalty program. Accounts can be funded through multiple sources, including debit cards.

“Play+ has proven to be the most convenient, safe, and secure cashless solution on the market. Alongside Parx and Light & Wonder, we’re improving the customer experience and further the digital transformation of the gaming industry,” said Sightline Payments Chief Client Solutions Officer Mandi Hart.

“Light & Wonder is committed to exceeding player expectations,” said Light & Wonder Senior Vice President, President of Global Systems & Service, Gaming Jon Wolfe. “Enabling new technologies by working with companies like Sightline is a way for us to provide the best possible digital experience and remain one of the industry’s leaders.”
