Cordish Gaming Group, operator of Live! Casino Pittsburgh and Live! Casino Philadelphia is opening the doors of its Pittsburgh-area venue to host the Make It Matter Regional Conference, which will focus on diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

The conference will be May 8-10 by the Westmoreland Diversity Coalition, a nonprofit organization promoting inclusion, which partnered with the local University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg. Participants, who will include regional employers, human relations professionals and executives of local and regional businesses, will provide resources, guidelines and insights on diversity in the workplace.

The conference aims to teach delegates about the importance of diversity and provide them with tools and resources for managing inclusion in the workplace. Confirmed speakers include Mozelle Daniels, deputy chief counsel of administration and director of diversity at the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board and Todd Snovel, chief leadership and engagement officer of the Pennsylvania County Commissioners Association. More guest speakers will be added.

“The Cordish Companies has a long history of investing in sustainable and inclusive projects in the communities they serve,” said Sean Sullivan general manager of Live! Casino Pittsburgh, who also serves on the board of the Westmoreland Diversity Coalition. “Supporting this conference and other initiatives through the Live! in the Community program will go a long way to promote growth and vibrancy in our region.”

Live! Casino Pittsburgh opened on Nov. 24, 2022, just days before Thanksgiving and has contributed hundreds of millions of dollars to the local economy.
