Pennsylvania gaming revenue dips slightly in June to $536.2 million

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board on Friday reported revenue of $536.2 million from all forms of gaming in the Commonwealth during June, down 1.7% year-over-year.

Hollywood Casino at Penn National in Grantsville led with revenue of $110.3 million, up 14.5%. Valley Forge Casino Resort in King of Prussia brought in $88.6 million, down 5.2%. Rivers Casino Philadelphia generated $55.4 million, up 3.6%.

Slot revenue dipped 1.3% to $196.6 million. Perennial slot leader Parx Casino in Philadelphia again led with $30.2 million, down 2.4%. Wind Creek Bethlehem generated $22.9 million, up 2%, and Rivers Casino Pittsburgh’s slot revenue was $19.8 million, down 3.4%.

Pennsylvania’s igaming revenue reached $242.5 million, up 14.1%. Hollywood Casino at Penn National generated $98.1 million, up 21% increase. Valley Forge Casino Resort posted igaming revenue of $65.3 million, up 10%, and Rivers Casino Philadelphia brought in $38.4 million, up 9.3%.

Sports betting revenue reached $30.9 million from a handle of $570.2 million. Valley Forge Casino Resort had the highest handle in the state, $188.1 million, with revenue of $11.9 million. Hollywood Casino at the Meadows in Meadowlands followed with a handle of $183.7 million, yielding revenue of $7.7 million. Hollywood Casino Morgantown generated sports betting revenue of $2.7 million from a handle of $39.5 million.

Overall tax revenue during June was $234,396,489.
