PDX Slots has been given sign-off by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) front to operate in the province’s regulated igaming space.
PDX Slots is an igaming content provider based in Detroit, Michigan, and was granted an Internet Gaming Related Supplier license by the AGCO.
“Receiving a license to offer our market-leading content in Ontario is another important milestone for PDX Slots as we continue to expand,” said Chris Housel, CEO at PDX Slots.
PDX works with gaming developers to get their games live, port content for use by regulated online casino operators, while building strategies to improve game developer ROIs.
Ontario is one of the largest igaming markets in North America, and digital casino dominates.
The government-owned Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation reports their own total gross online casino and sports betting revenue – in FY 2023-24 they reported $630 million, up from $561 million in 2022-23.
The Ontario private igaming market, not including OLG, saw $64 billion in total wagers in FY 2023-24 (April 1, 2023, to March 31, 2024), $2.4 billion in gaming revenue., according to iGaming Ontario reporting.
According to H2 Gambling Capital – the global specialist gambling sector market data provider – commercial operators in Ontario have a 78% market share, while OLG has 16%, and offshore platforms have 5%.
H2 utilizes sources like web traffic, affiliate traffic and search volume data to estimate market size and growth rates in regulated markets where there is no official data.
Their data showed bet365 with a 15% market share in FY 2024, followed by FanDuel (13%) and Betano (9%). Super Group comes in at 8%, followed by BetMGM, Entain and BetRivers, at 7% each.
According to an iGaming Ontario report market performance report, casino games (including slots, live and computer-based table games and peer-to-peer bingo), generated 86 per cent of total wagers ($16 billion) and 75 per cent ($553 million) of gaming revenue in the province.
Yesterday as well, it was reported that Vancouver-based Jackpot Digital Inc., a provider of dealerless electronic poker and table games, had been licensed by the AGCO as a registered Gaming Related Supplier in the province.
