Ontario has 53 licensed gaming platform operators, each scrapping to get a piece of that CA$2.4 billion (US$1.7 billion) pie, according to iGaming Ontario gaming revenue numbers for this fiscal year.
In analysis last week, EKG suggested that, at maturity, a wholly regulated Canadian market minus the gray market players would be worth $9.2 billion, dominated by icasino, so operators here must continually be evolving and improving their products and services.
PowerPlay.com is one of those licensed players and just launched its new Canadian website, which they say will elevate the gaming experience for players. The site features hundreds of new casino games, as well as new player props and same game parlays on their sportsbook. The objective, it says, was to launch a more intuitive layout and user-friendly interface, making it easier for players to get around the site and place bets.
“The Same Game Parlay promises to be a hit, allowing players to bet on multiple events within the same game to compound their odds for a potential big payoff,” Bill O’Brien, sportsbook manager for PowerPlay, said in a statement. “Those parlays can include popular player props, such as who will score or how many shots a player will get, above and beyond betting on the game result. This is the next level of sports betting.”
On the casino side, they’ve brought in new table games, slots and live dealer casino games.
“Our worldwide teams have been working around the clock to ensure players have the best possible site, and the fact that players can now seamlessly access the platform across multiple localized markets will further enhance that experience,” said PowerPlay CEO Dean Serrao.
Serrao added Canada has been a “core market” for PowerPlay since it launched in 2018.
