Oddin.gg Thursday announced the establishment of a new trading hub in Lima, Peru. The B2B esports betting supplier expects the new locale to enhance the Prague, Czech Republic-based company’s coverage of esports, optimize trading, and address growing regions.
“We see tremendous interest in esports betting in the United States, Canada, and Latin America, as evidenced by our recent visits to events in Las Vegas, San Diego, New York, and Buenos Aires,” said Oddin.gg CEO and co-Founder Vlastimil Venclík in a statement. “This reaffirms our decision to expand into the American time zone and educate the market about betting on esports.”
The new office will enable Oddin.gg to cover esports matches in the Western Hemisphere as they occur, without the need for European staff to provide coverage. The new team in Lima will be an extension of Oddin.gg’s European trading team. Bookmakers using the company’s esports betting ecosystem will access extended real-time coverage of esports tournaments, have increased access to Latin and North American markets, and take advantage of enhanced tech support.
“The new office in Lima is dedicated to our traders,” Venclík said, “and while we currently have almost 10 people on board, our plan is to grow the team to up to 40 trading specialists. Our long-term goal is to continue expanding in the United States, Canada, and Latin America, and the new Oddin.gg trading hub in Peru holds strategic importance in achieving that.”
