NEW YORK (AP) – A Queens grand jury has indicted 17 people from New York, California and Nevada in connection with a sports gambling ring that authorities allege booked more than $32 million in bets a year.

Authorities announced the 126-count indictment on Wednesday. They say defendants face charges including enterprise corruption, money laundering, promoting gambling and conspiracy.

Fourteen people, including three people from New York state, are in custody. Authorities say the remaining three are still being sought.

The investigation into the alleged ring began in February 2014. Authorities say the defendants used an off-shore Internet gambling website and accepted bets on sports including college basketball, football, hockey and baseball.

The defendants face up to 25 years in prison if convicted.
