The National Tribal Gaming Commissioners & Regulators (NTGCR) today announced that Jamie Hummingbird (Cherokee Nation) and Cori Blaschke (Ho-Chunk Nation) have been reelected as chairman and treasurer, respectively.
Hummingbird will be serving his eighth term as chairman and NTGCR Treasurer Blaschke will be serving her second as Treasurer. Terms for NTGCR Executive Board Officer positions are two years in length.
“To be honored by the tribal gaming regulatory community by being elected to an eighth term is truly humbling. The organization has made tremendous strides over the years and I’m looking forward to working with my friends and colleagues on making the NTGCR even better for all tribal gaming regulators,” said Jamie Hummingbird.
“To be serving a second term as the treasurer — able to work with and continually learn from the leaders in the Tribal gaming regulatory industry and uphold the mission of NTGCR to support our members — is a true privilege,” said Cori Blaschke.
Due to the pandemic, the NTGCR’s 2020 election took place via a nationwide Zoom event on September 29, a first for NTGCR since its inception.
