New York’s full-service commercial casino revenue hits new high of the year, up 4.7% year-over-year in August

Full-service commercial casinos in New York saw revenue growth of 4.7% year-over-year in August, from $62.1 million to $65 million, the highest monthly revenue of  the year.

The latest report from the New York State Gaming Commission showed that three of the four casinos saw revenue rise, with the Del Lago casino experiencing the highest increase of 9%, from $14.2 million in 2024 to $15.5 million in 2025.

Rivers Casino generated the highest revenue of $20.1 million, a 7.3% increase from the $18.7 million generated in August the year prior. Tioga Downs generated the lowest revenue in the state of $10.1 million, but it was an increase from the $9.6 million generated in August 2024.

Resorts World Catskills was the only casino to experience a year-over-year loss, with revenue decreasing by 1.4% from $19.6 million to $19.4 million.

Month-over-month, revenues also rose in the state by 7.3%, from the $60.6 million generated in July.

Slots in the state generated just less than $47 million, which was up 9.5% on the $42.9 million generated in August 2024. Table games experienced a year-over-year revenue decrease of 4.2% from $17.2 million to $16.5 million.
