Revenue and handle rose sharply in New York online sports betting (OSB) in April. Revenue increased 32 percent to $183.8 million, while handle jumped 27 percent to $1.9 billion. Hold was 9.4 percent.
FanDuel led with revenue of $91 million and handle of $781 million, a 28 percent increase for the privately held OSB provider. DraftKings was second with $63.2 million on $737 million in handle, a revenue increase of 41 percent.
Caesars Sportsbook generated $10.4 million on $159 million in handle, a 19 percent decrease. BetMGM made $9.1 million from handle of $130 million, a 28 percent improvement.
In its second full month of operation (having launched on Leap Day), Fanatics’s revenue leaped 226 percent to $5.6 million on $74 million in handle. BetRivers grossed $3.3 million, a 307 percent improvement, on handle of $67 million.
No other operator broke the $1 million revenue threshold. WynnBet declined to $100,000, while Resorts World Bet and BallyBet grossed $600,000 apiece.
FanDuel enjoyed the highest hold rate, at 11.7 percent, WynnBet the lowest (4.5 percent).
