Gaming revenue for New York casinos reached more than $54 million in January, up 10 percent from the $49.1 million in January 2024.

The New York State Gaming Commission reported that slot and ETGs generated $37.3 million in gross gaming revenue, an increase from $33.9 million in January 2024. Table games gaming revenue rose from $14.1 million to $14.8 million, poker tables from $885,334 to $942,747 and retail sports wagering revenue rose from $201,891 to $955,192.

However, despite commercial casino revenue being up year-over-year, it is still down from December’s results. Gross gaming revenue declined by 1.7 percent, down from the $54.9 million generated in December 2024. Slot/ETG and table games gaming revenue also decreased month-over-month, with revenue only increasing in poker tables from $916,357 to $942,747.

In addition, the New York State Gaming Commission has until December to grant three casino licenses to retail casino operators.
