Gate City Casino in Nashua, New Hampshire, is adding video lottery terminals to its gaming floor, replacing most of the historical horse racing gaming machines installed in 2023.
More than 270 VLTs have been added to a newly reconfigured gaming floor. The transition began in September and is expected to be completed in late November. When completed, more than 300 VLTs, and a selection of the most popular HHR gaming machines, will be featured on a more spacious and comfortable floor layout.
“Gate City Casino is proud to add VLTs to our popular gaming floor and excited for our guests to have more of a Las Vegas-style gaming machine experience and for our charity partners to benefit,” Gate City Casino General Manager Andrew Gentile said in a statement. “This represents another significant investment in Gate City Casino since Delaware North purchased its predecessor, Boston Billiard Club, in 2022.”
Gate City Casino is owned and operated by Delaware North.
The change to VLTs was made possible by a new law governing the state’s charitable gaming program and introducing a new revenue-sharing system. VLTs use random number generation to determine payouts rather than the results of historical horse races, resulting in more chance, real-time outcomes. Gaming machine manufacturers also offer more titles and brands of slot machines than are available with HHR.
Among the new themes featured are Dragon Link, Huff n’ Even More Puff Grand, NFL Triple Score Jackpots, Mo Mummy, Phoenix Link and Ultimate Fire Link.
