Nevada gaming regulators sent a notice to the state’s gaming operators this week urging them to let patrons know the new number for the National Council on Problem Gaming Helpline: 1-800-MY-RESET.

“At this time, it is acceptable for in-house postings and written materials to reflect any of the currently
operating helpline phone numbers for problem-gambling resources,” said Mike Dreitzer, chair of the Nevada Gaming Control Board.

Those include 1-800-522-4700 or 1-800-GAMBLER.

“Each licensee shall post or provide in conspicuous places in or near gaming and cage areas and cash dispensing machines located in gaming areas written materials concerning the nature and symptoms of problem gambling and the toll-free telephone number of the National Council on Problem Gambling or a similar entity approved by the Board Chair that provides information and referral services for problem gamblers,” Dreitzer said in his notice.
