International Game Technology received Nevada regulatory approval Wednesday for its PlaySports platform of retail and online sports betting. This approval allows IGT’s sports betting technology stack to be offered throughout the state to casino operators.

“Achieving Nevada regulatory approval for our PlaySports technology enables IGT to extend our sports betting expertise to our many, long-time customers throughout the state and notably differentiates IGT from many other B2B sports betting platform providers,” said Enrico Drago, IGT PlayDigital senior vice president, in a statement.

A trial process was initiated by IGT last August at Boyd Gaming properties in Nevada using PlaySports self-service kiosks. IGT currently runs all sports betting operations for Boyd in the state, including a Nevada-based mobile sports app and online sports betting portal.
