Gibson also appointed Supervisor Thomasina Fremont as the next Chief of the Audit Division, effective July 11, 2022.

Lengsavath succeeds Dan Douglas, who retired after more than 25 years of service with the NGCB. Fremont will become Chief of the Audit Division after the retirement of Kelly Colvin, who has worked for the NGCB for more than 30 years.

“I have the utmost confidence that Chan Lengsavath and Thomasina Fremont will continue the impeccable leadership that has existed in the Tax and License and Audit Divisions for decades,” said Gibson in a statement. “As licensees continue to diversify their offerings on the gaming floor, I have no doubt that these divisions will continue to uphold the highest auditing and oversight standards that the industry and the public expect from the Gaming Control Board.”

Lengsavath has served as hearings officer in the Administration Division since January 2017. In his new role, he will lead the Tax and License Division, which is responsible for all tax collections and licensing at the NGCB, as well as the auditing of all Group II casinos.

As the chief of the Audit Division, Fremont will lead approximately 90 employees primarily responsible for auditing Group I casinos throughout the state. Fremont joined the NGCB in 1994 and has been a supervisor in the Audit Division since January 2018.
