“This substantial investment being made by our new ownership group will have a transformational impact on the casino and showroom, elevating the Casablanca Resort experience for all guests,” said Mesquite Gaming CEO Justin Moore in statement. “Every dollar will go into making this already successful resort more welcoming and enjoyable for our customers.”

The Casablanca Resort and Virgin River Hotel & Casino were taken over by Mesquite OCM Voteco LLC, a fund of Oaktree Capital Management, in November 2023.

The renovation will focus on doubling the size of the property’s Center Bar, adding a new sports bar, and adding 200 slots to the gaming floor. All operations and amenities at the CasaBlanca will remain open through the remodeling phase.

Steelman Partners, an international architecture and interior design firm based in Las Vegas, will be responsible for the remodeling designs. Harris Associates will serve as the general contracting firm.
