Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut, Friday introduced Kimberly Simone as its new director of sales. Simone has more than 16 years of experience in marketing, business operations and sales within meetings and conventions.
Simone previously worked as director of sales for Saybrook Point Resort & Marina in Old Saybrook, Connecticut, and served as Foxwoods Resort Casino’s director of sales for nearly 14 years. She also worked as a director of sales and marketing for Coldwell Banker New Homes in Waltham, Massachusetts.
In her new role, Simone will guide the business operations of Mohegan Sun’s conventions and expo sales team led by VP of Sales & Marketing John Washko.
“Kim has shown an expertise of market trends, while leading high-level sales initiatives and cultivating strong relationships in the hospitality industry”, said Washko in a statement. “We’re excited to have her as our new Director of Sales, and appreciate her continued dedication to creating an extraordinary experience for our meetings planners, groups and guests of Mohegan Sun.”
