Mississippi casinos generated $198.7 million in revenue in October, a 2.7% year-over-year increase from the $193.4 million the year prior.
The latest report from the Mississippi Gaming Commission, which reports casino revenue by region instead of by individual casino, showed that all three regions saw revenue rise year-over-year in October.
The Central region saw the highest year-over-year revenue increase of 4.5%, rising from $24.7 million to $25.8 million. Slot revenue totaled $22.5 million, a 3.6% increase year-over-year from $21.8 million. Table games revenue fell 9.8% from just less than $2 million to $1.8 million.
The Coastal region generated the highest revenue, totaling $132.1 million, a 2.7% increase from $128.7 million. Table games and slots revenue increased year-over-year, with slots rising 2.4% from $107.8 million to $110.5 million, and table games up 2.7% from $17.9 million to $18.4 million.
The Northern region experienced the lowest year-over-year increase, with revenue rising 1.8% from $40.1 million to $40.8 million. Table games saw an increase of 5% from just less than $5 million to $5.2 million, while slot revenue rose 1.6% from $33.2 million to $33.7 million.
Statewide, slot revenue totaled $166.7 million, up 2.4% from $162.8 million, and table games revenue rose 2.2% from $24.8 million to $25.4 million.
