Treasure Island Resort & Casino in Welch, Minnesota, recently unveiled its new poker room, which showcases a design focused on space, comfort and the overall environment, and the upgrades are intended to create a first-class guest experience.

The room features a larger space and new layout designed to make it easier for guests and team members to move around.  The room also features new 75-inch flat-screen televisions to create a better sports-viewing experience for fans of Minnesota and Wisconsin’s hometown teams.

A news release said the games, structures and promotions guests know will carry over to the new space, including the bad beat jackpot, which it triggered when a hand of four of a kind or better is beaten by a better hand. It was most recently hit on Valentine’s Day, paying out $217,490 to an eight-person table, with the loser of the bad beat hand receiving half. The bad beat jackpot is now above $222,000.

The room is open from noon-midnight on Thursdays and noon-4 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

New slot machines also are coming to The Island in May, including Ultimate Fire Link Triple Nova, Bao Zhu Zhao Fu Blast and Lanterns of the Dragon.
