Michigan’s professional sports teams are embracing new opportunities to partner with gambling and fantasy sports operators.
The Detroit Tigers and Detroit Red Wings announced Monday a collaboration that names MotorCity Casino’s FanDuel Sportsbook an official gaming partner.
“After a very successful launch in Michigan, we are excited to continue our momentum by partnering in this way with two of the most iconic sports organizations in the country,” said Mike Raffensperger, CMO of FanDuel Group in a statement.

Last week the Tigers entered into a promotional agreement with BetMGM.
Per the new agreement, FanDuel Sportsbook will be featured on static and digital signage, including outfield walls and dasher boards, at the Tigers’ Comerica Park and the Red Wings’ Little Caesars Arena. The gaming company’s content also will be used on the Tigers and Red Wings’ radio networks.
Both sporting venues already house collaborations with the casino. Comerica Park is home to the MotorCity Casino Tiger Club, which includes the Off Ramp Bar. Little Caesars Arena features the MotorCity Casino Club, which hosts VIP experiences with gourmet food and beverage options.
FanDuel is one of Major League Baseball’s authorized gaming operators, and an official sports betting partner of the National Hockey League. The gaming operator recently launched an integrated, real money online gaming experience for residents of and visitors to Michigan. The FanDuel Sportsbook & Casino app and the standalone FanDuel Casino app are both available for iOS and Android.
To celebrate the new partnership, FanDuel is offering a $25 registration bonus for eligible Red Wings and Tigers fans who use the code word DETROIT when registering for a FanDuel Sportsbook account.
