Michigan: FireKeepers Casino promotes BJ Bouschor to Chief Information Officer

FireKeepers Casino Hotel in Battle Creek, Michigan, on Thursday announced that BJ Bouschor is its new Chief Information Officer.

Bouschor, who has worked with FireKeepers since 2014, has more than two decades of information technology experience in the gaming and casino industry.

“BJ’s leadership has been instrumental in positioning FireKeepers at the forefront of secure, innovative, and guest-focused technology,” FireKeepers Casino Hotel CEO Frank Tecumseh said in a statement. “His deep technical expertise, strategic mindset, and ability to anticipate future needs make him the ideal person to lead us into the next era of digital transformation.”

FireKeepers Casino Hotel is owned and operated by the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi.

Bouschor, a member of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians, started his gaming technology career in 2002 as a slot data systems operator/analyst with Kewadin Casinos in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. He served as manager of the IT Gaming Division, overseeing technology operations for five casino properties in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

Since joining FireKeepers as Director of Information Technology, Bouschor has led advancements in IT operations. Promoted to Vice President of Information Technology in 2015, he has overseen critical areas including cybersecurity, infrastructure, data analytics, and digital innovation.

Bouschor will continue shaping FireKeepers’ technology strategy while leading a multidisciplinary team across network operations, support services, database development, program management, audio visual, cybersecurity, and business/application analysis.
