FireKeepers Casino Hotel in Battle Creek, Michigan, on Friday opened the Embers Bar near the casino’s lobby in a footprint previously housing the Kabaret Lounge.
The Embers Bar has been completely reimagined into an upscale, welcoming space where guests can relax, connect, and enjoy crafted cocktails, wine, and beer.
“The Embers Bar represents our continued commitment to enhancing every part of the guest experience,” FireKeepers Casino Hotel Vice President of Food & Beverage Michael Hamilton said in a statement. “We wanted to create a space that feels both energizing and comfortable, where guests can unwind with a drink, celebrate with friends, or simply take in the lively atmosphere that makes FireKeepers so special.”
Embers Bar’s name pays homage to FireKeepers’ signature flame while creating an environment that blends luxury with comfort. Inspired by the idea of fire as a natural gathering place, the design focuses on warmth and energy without leaning on literal flame imagery.
A circular layout makes the space feel open and social, encouraging people to linger and connect. Polished metal accents and angled surfaces catch the light in a subtle, modern way that adds movement without overwhelming the room.
At the center, a sculptural feature rises above the bar as a simple focal point. Slim bronze elements paired with soft LED lighting create a shifting glow that evolves throughout the evening. Suspended above it, a cluster of resin droplets adds texture and dimension, contributing to the overall ambiance without distracting from the experience.
Key players in the development of Embers Bar included the Cuningham Group Architecture and Moore Trosper Construction of Holt, Michigan, a longstanding partner for FireKeepers construction projects.
Embers Bar is open daily from 7 a.m. – 2 a.m., serving a full selection of cocktails, wine, and beer.
