Massachusetts: Table games dip brings overall casino revenue down 1.3% in January

Massachusetts’ three casinos generated $96.7 million in revenue for January, down 1.3% year-over-year, as table game revenue was down across the board.

The figures, published by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission, show that, statewide, slots accounted for $69.8 million, up 5.4%, while table games declined 15.4% to $26.8 million.

Encore Boston Harbor reported the highest revenue for the month with $59.7 million, down 2.9%. Slots were up 9.7% to $37.6 million, while table games dropped 18.8% to $22 million.

MGM Springfield’s revenue was stable year-over-year at $22.8 million. Slots declined 1% to $18 million, while table games increased 5% to $4.8 million.

Plainridge Park, which only has slots, reported $14.2 million in revenue, up 3.2%.
