Massachusetts gaming revenue reaches $98.7 million in July

The Massachusetts Gaming Commission Monday reported revenue of $98.7 million in July.

The revenue generated by the state’s three casinos – Encore Boston Harbor, MGM Springfield, and Plainridge Park Casino – increased by 6.1% over June 2022’s total of $93.0 million.

Encore Boston Harbor brought in the most revenue, generating $64.7 million, approximately 66% of all gaming revenue in the state. Slot revenue at Encore Boston Harbor was $35.1 million, and table games accounted for $29.6 million.

MGM Springfield brought in $21.5 million in July, with $17.3 million in slot revenue and $4.2 million in table games revenue.

Slots-only property Plainridge generated $12.5 million in revenue for the month.

The state collected $27.7 million in tax revenue from the three casinos in July. Encore Boston Harbor contributed $16.2 million in tax revenue; MGM Springfield, $6.1 million; and Plainridge, $5.4 million.
