MGM National Harbor will host the Potomac Winter Poker Open February 11-23, featuring 23 events and more than $5 million in guaranteed prize money.
This year’s Potomac, which will be held in the casino’s poker room, has a new format featuring a variety of multi-day tournaments, mixed games, a Charity Series of Poker event, and an invite-only freeroll. The $3,000 buy-in Main Event has two starting flights and a $750,000 guaranteed prize pool.
Other interesting events include a $300-buy-in Tag Team event, a $500 buy-in seniors event for players 50 and older, a $400 buy-in Super Seniors event for players 60 and older, a $300 buy-in women’s event, and the $300 buy-in Cakes Classic Bounty event, while mixed games events include TORSE, mixed PLO, 8 Game Mix, pot-limit Omaha 8, Big O and 5-card pot-limit Omaha bounty.
Players gets a $25 Match Bet Bonus and a $10 food voucher for every tournament they enter, and the resort is offering 10% off room rates.
