Marker Trax this week announced that Russell Byrd will be its new vice president of product.
A 30-year gaming and technology veteran, Byrd will oversee development and management of Marker Trax’ product portfolio, including the B2C brand Moolah Play. The company stated he will help to increase the company’s sector leadership position, and foster partnerships across the country.
“Russell brings incredible depth of experience in both gaming specifically and product management overall to the team, and will be an incredible asset to our continued growth,” said Marker Trax President Charlie Skinner in a statement. “Innovating and truly redefining the gaming experience for the digital age is our company’s core area of focus. Russell’s own career has followed that same path, so we’re thrilled to have him on board.”
Byrd has been instrumental in launching and optimizing product lines for Electronic Arts, Scientific Games and Aristocrat, successfully expanding digital product footprints, and leading implementation of customer features.
Before joining Marker Trax, Byrd led Aristocrat’s igaming and B2B social casino divisions, where he managed the development and launch of over 100 digital titles and helped build a $20 million revenue stream in the first year of operations. He also played a pivotal role in establishing Aristocrat’s position in the regulated igaming market across North America.
