Mark Hemmerle appointed chief legal officer for Koin, Marker Trax

Koin and Marker Trax have hired Mark D. Hemmerle as their chief legal officer.

Hemmerle will be charged with navigating and advising on important legal and compliance matters for the Las Vegas-based sister companies.

“Mark’s expertise lies uniquely at the intersection of emerging technologies and navigating complex compliance issues, aptitudes that align perfectly with the innovations we’re implementing in the industry,” said Koin President Gary Larkin in a statement. “Koin intends to continue leading the conversation on the evolution of cashless payments and we’re fortunate to have Mark on board in pursuit of that goal.”

Hemmerle has worked for two decades in executive leadership and compliance counsel positions. His resume includes roles with Shift4Payments, Vantiv/Worldpay, and Hyatt Grand Victoria Casino. The companies stated that Hemmerle has a reputation for helping companies align on-the-ground tactics with long-term strategies and implementing effective compliance protocols.
