Maine commercial casino revenue drops 3.4% year-over-year in January

Maine’s two commercial casinos generated $12.6 million in January, down 3.4% from the previous year’s figure of $13 million and representing a year-over-year decrease of 3.4%.

According to the latest report from the Maine Gambling Control Unit, slots revenue statewide increased 1.3% year-over-year to $11 million. Table games dropped 26.5% to $1.6 million.

Oxford Casino generated the highest revenue for January, and also had the biggest year-over-year decline. Revenue at the casino declined 4.9% to $7.6 million. Table games and slots revenue also declined at the casino. Table games dropped 19.1% to $964,815 and slots decreased 2.4% to $6.6 million.

Hollywood Casino saw revenue decline 0.9% to $5 million. Slots were up 7.6% to $4.4 million, while table games declined 35.1% to $657,008.
