Cordish Gaming Group Monday announced the promotion of Live! Casino executive Robert R. Williams to vice president of gaming operations for Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana.
The $270 million venue will be the first land-based casino in the Shreveport-Bossier market. Live! Casino & Hotel is scheduled to open in Bossier City, Louisiana, in the first quarter of 2025.
“Robert’s knowledge of casino operations will be instrumental to our success as we introduce the Live! Casino brand in Louisiana,” said Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana Executive Vice President and General Manager John J. Chaszar in a statement. “He embodies the Live! mission and is focused on setting the stage for the premier gaming and entertainment destination in the region.”
Williams has more than 30 years of experience in gaming and management. He will be responsible for the implementation and execution of all casino operations, including management of the daily operations for table games, slots, and the sportsbook.
Williams will also establish standards of performance, quality, and customer service for the departments under his direction.
Williams previously served as vice president of slot operations and guest services at Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland, where he was responsible for overseeing slot operations. Prior to joining the Live! team, Williams held leadership positions at casino properties in Biloxi, Mississippi.
