The Louisiana Gaming Control Board this week reported revenue of $198.2 million from all forms of gaming in February, a year-over-year increase of 2%. The New Orleans gaming district, boosted by an 81.6% increase in revenue at Treasure Chest Casino in Kenner, Louisiana, led all districts with a 24% increase in revenue.
Excluding Treasure Chest and Caesars New Orleans, revenue from land-based casino was down 5% year-over-year.
Gaming revenue from online sports betting increased to $51.3 million, up 69% compared to February 2024. The handle was $356 million, up 41%.
Properties in the Lake Charles district generated $69.6 million, down 0.3% year-over-year. Golden Nugget Lake Charles brought in $24.8 million in revenue, up 0.1% compared. L’Auberge Casino Resort posted revenue of $24.7 million, up 0.7% and Delta Downs Racetrack Casino Hotel brought in $13.6 million, down 7.3%.
New Orleans properties generated $59.1 million in the quarter. Caesars New Orleans revenue was $30.7 million, up 28.8% year-over-year. Treasure Chest generated $12.5 million, and Boomtown Casino & Hotel reached revenue of $10 million, up 6.8 %.
Shreveport/Bossier City properties reported revenue of $41 million compared to February 2024’s $48.1 million, down 14.8%. Margaritaville Resort Casino posted revenue of $14.7 million, down 11.9 %. Horseshoe Bossier City generated $8,6 million, down 18.5%. Bally’s Shreveport Casino & Hotel posted revenue of $8.3 million, down 12.1%.
The Baton Rouge district’s $22.6 million was a decrease of 0.8% year-over-year. L’Auberge Casino Hotel led the district with $13.8 million, down 7.6%. The Queen of Baton Rouge generated $8.3 million, up 14.8%. The Belle of Baton Rouge reported revenue of $0.5 million, down 19.5%.
Evangeline Downs Racetrack & Casino in St. Landry Parish generated revenue of $5.9 million, down 4.2%.
