This is the second collaboration between DraftKings and CQ Holding Company, which also operates DraftKings at Casino Queen in East St. Louis, Illinois.

The temporary sportsbook, open to fans 21 and over, will feature 20 self-service kiosks and three over-the-counter sports betting ticket cages.

“The temporary DraftKings Sportsbook at Hollywood Casino Baton Rouge will provide customers with new, exciting ways to enjoy this historic property, and we’re thrilled our expanded DraftKings partnership will offer guests their premier sports betting technology,” said CQ Holding Company President and CEO of Terry Downey in a statement. “We believe this temporary DraftKings Sportsbook space will lay the foundation for one of the most engaging sports viewing environments, which will be further elevated upon the opening of the proposed permanent DraftKings Sportsbook next year.”

Construction on a permanent DraftKings Sportsbook inside Hollywood Casino Baton Rouge is underway. The casino recently broke ground on a 38,000-square-foot expansion project and plans to move casino operations to land from its riverboat-based property on the Mississippi River. The move will increase the casino’s footprint to 100,000 square feet, including the DraftKings Sportsbook and new dining outposts.

“We’re excited to expand our DraftKings footprint in Louisiana, showcasing our commitment to the region with the opening of our second retail sportsbook space,” said DraftKings Senior Director of Retail Sportsbooks Michael Kibort in a statement. “Through our collaboration with CQ Holding Company and Hollywood Casino, we look forward to revolutionizing the sports betting experience while providing sports fans with an outstanding entertainment facility in Baton Rouge.”
