The Louisiana Gaming Control Board reported revenue of $230.8 million from the state’s casinos in March, down 4.8% year-over-year. Sports betting in March reached $50.5 million from a handle of $392.5 million, up 59% year-over-year.
Every Louisiana gaming district suffered decreases save the Baton Rouge District, which brought in the least amount of revenue.
Lake Charles led all Louisiana districts with revenue of $77.8 million in March, a year-over-year decrease of 5.8%. L’Auberge Du Lac generated $27.2 million, down 4.4%. Golden Nugget Lake Charles collected revenue of $25.8 million, down 10.1%. Delta Downs brought in revenue of $15.1 million, down 7.3%.
Shreveport/Bossier City operators reported revenue of $58 million, down 5.5%. Margaritaville Resort Casino posted revenue of $16 million, up 1.1%. Live! Casino posted $11.9 million, down 3.3%. Horseshoe Shreveport reported revenue of $11.3 million, down 2,3%.
New Orleans district properties reported revenue of $60.1 million, down 5.1%. Caesars New Orleans brought in $29 million, down 3.4%. Treasure Chest generated $14.9 million, up 1.1%. Boomtown Casino & Hotel reported revenue of $9.5 million, down 16.1%.
The Baton Rouge district’s $28 million was up 1.1 %. L’Auberge Baton Rouge posted $14.4 million, down 15.4%. The Queen of Baton Rouge generated $8.3 million, down 15.5%. The Belle of Baton Rouge saw another huge percentage jump in revenue, to $5.3 million, up 529.2%, after moving to a land-based location.
Evangeline Downs generated $6.8 million, down 6.2%.
