Live! Casino Virginia recently announced a month-long lineup of “totally 80s entertainment” for August. Casino guests can experience live performances, celebrations, and promotions that will include live band performances every other Thursday from 8-11 p.m.
The schedule includes Anthony Cosby Jr. performing Prince on August 6 and the Ultimate ’80s Tribute Band, featuring the Deloreans, on August 20.
“The ’80s were all about nonstop fun, and we’re bringing that same energy to Live! Casino Virginia all month long,” Live! Casino Virginia Senior Vice President and General Manager Penny Parayo said in a statement. “From throwback entertainment to exciting promotions, we’re creating memorable experiences that capture the spirit of one of the most iconic decades.”
There also will be three promotions with ‘80s influences:
- A $15,000 Jackpot Party: Live! Rewards members who hit a taxable jackpot between July 1-31 will get a Jackpot Party ticket. Twenty winners will be selected to win a share of $15,000 in free play on August 6.
- $60,000 Winning Wednesdays: Every Wednesday in August, Live! Rewards members can earn entries by playing slots or table games. Twenty winners will be selected each week to receive cash and free play prizes, including a $2,000 cash grand prize.
- $70,000 Money Mania: Live! Rewards members can earn entries throughout August for a chance to win a share of $70,000 in prizes. Drawings on August 29 will award cash prizes during the evening, culminating in a $20,000 grand prize.
Festivities extend beyond the entertainment lineup and promotions. During August, themed food and beverage options will pay homage to the tastes of the ‘80s. Luckies Kitchen will offer a Breakfast Club sandwich and an ‘80s-inspired Sloppy Joe.
When completed in 2027, Live! Casino & Hotel Virginia will feature:
- More than 400,000 square feet of first-class gaming, hotel and dining space
- 35,000 square feet of meeting and convention space
- An upscale 200-room hotel featuring 20 suites, resort pool and fitness center
- 1,600 state-of-the-art slot machines
- 46 live action table games, including a 15-table poker room

- A 3,000-seat entertainment venue for top talent from across Virginia and the country and for meetings, conventions and social gatherings
- Eight food and entertainment options, including local Petersburg restauranteurs and businesses
- Free surface parking
