Light & Wonder Tuesday announced it has been selected by Norwegian Cruise Line to install operator wide area progressive table games on its 18-ship fleet. Included are 200 GM Atlas systems featuring jackpot progressives, and blackjack and poker derivatives.

“We take pride in delivering exciting gaming experiences that resonate with players, whether on land or at sea,” said Light & Wonder Managing Director Americas, Gaming Niaz Nejad in a statement. “We’re excited to collaborate with Norwegian Cruise Line to launch its first operator wide area progressive table games network. By connecting our industry-leading GM Atlas progressives across their extensive fleet, we’re bringing the excitement of gaming to Norwegian Cruise Line’s guests at sea.”

Light & Wonders’ operator wide area progressive technology will enable Norwegian Cruise Lines to link gaming titles across multiple vessels through a centralized network. The solution is designed to enhance excitement at gaming tables and boost participation in progressive jackpots.

“We are thrilled to work with Light & Wonder to introduce operator wide area progressive table games to our 18-ship fleet,” said Norwegian Cruise Line Vice President, Gaming Operations Ian Donald. “This innovative technology allows us to link gaming experiences across our vessels, offering our guests even more excitement and the opportunity for larger payouts.”

Current Light & Wonder titles installed include Blackjack, Let It Ride, Three Card Poker, and Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em, with all games contributing to one progressive among all tables and all ships.

Light & Wonder’s first progressive system installation in this collaboration occurred on the Norwegian ship Breakaway in August 2024, with additional installations underway.
